Veronika Štefanová: KDO REŽÍRUJE CIRKUS? (přednáška)

(novo)cirkusové inscenace? je to režisér, choreograf nebo
sám artista? V přednášce se Veronika Štefanová zaměří na různé
(novo)cirkusové inscenace projekty, které v Česku, Evropě anebo
například v Kanadě vznikly během posledních deseti let. Zvláštní
pozornost bude věnovaná českému kontextu, ve kterém se nový
cirkus utváří v úzké spolupráci s divadlem a tancem. Komentáře
budou bohatě doplněny videoprojekcemi a po přednášce bude následovat
diskuze.

Veronika Štefanová získala titul PhD na Karlově Univerzitě v Praze v oboru divadelních věd za svůj výzkum v obalsti současného cirkusu jako dramatického umění. Příležitostně pedagogicky působí na Akademii múzicckých umění v Praze a je zakladatelkou a vedoucí oddělení knihovny, dokumentace a výzkumu v Cirqueonu, který je zastřešující organizací pro podporu a rozvoj současného cirkusu v České Republice.

Solveig Weyeneth: THE LINE

With this short choreography you get taken in a new dimension of
the diabolo play. Two strings across the stage, a diabolo and two
sticks. Thats her world, where she invites you to take part in for a
little while. A world where the diabolo jumps and rolls from string to
string as if it has his own live, where the image creates vision and
results in a constant dialog between objects and performer.
This piece is about object manipulation, movement and space and
not at last about precision. A subtle and strong performance of a
woman sharing her joy to play with this, for her well known, objects.

Veronika Štefanová: KDO REŽÍRUJE CIRKUS?

What is Circus direction and how does it change over time? Who is
the real author of (contemporary) circus performance? Is it a theatre
director, a choreographer, or an artist himself? In the lecture Veronika
Štefanová will focus on various (contemporary) circus productions
or projects that have been created in the Czech Republic, Europe
or Canada in the last ten years. She will focused on the the
Czech context in which the contemporary circus is being created in
close cooperation with theatre and dance. The lecture will be accompany
by the video projections and after the lecture will follow
the discussion.

Veronika Štefanová holds a PhD from the department of theatre
studies at Charles University in Prague, exploring contemporary circus
as a dramatic art. She occasionally teaches at Academy of Performing
Arts in Prague and is in charge of the library, documentation,
and research at CIRQUEON, the umbrella organization for the
support and development of contemporary circus in the Czech Republic.
